Structural Concrete

Designed for durability under load, extending the lifespan of your infrastructure.

Built to Bear the Weight of Any Project

Wagner’s structural concrete services provide a sturdy foundation for every infrastructure project. Our concrete crews deliver structural solutions across bridges, retaining systems, and water control elements — engineered to the highest standards, executed on your timelines, and backed by the field crews and documentation specs your project needs.

Built right. Built to last.

Wagner crews coordinate and install structural concrete needs within our utilities, earthwork, and critical milestones ecosystem. With DOT and municipal specifications built into every pour and placement plan, we ensure structural integrity is never compromised.

Wagner’s Structural Approach

Wagner brings structural precision and field-proven craftsmanship to every concrete element — from transportation infrastructure to water control systems and earth retention.

Precisely Placed Transportation Structures:

From decks to piers, abutments to approach slabs — forming and placing load-bearing concrete is the backbone of any transportation project. We engineer each placement to DOT tolerances because structural efficiency in a bridge or overpass isn’t just another checkbox.

Spillways, headwalls, culverts, and pump stations operate in some of the harshest conditions concrete could face — from continuous flow and hydrostatic pressure to corrosive chemical agents. We plan and place water-control concrete engineered to mitigate those forces.

Retaining walls, slope protection, and other stabilization systems are only as good as the engineering behind them and the crew in front of them. Wagner coordinates systems with the surrounding earthwork and drainage scope so the structure performs as designed throughout the life of the project.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of structural concrete does Wagner handle?

Wagner installs retaining walls, precast bridge structures, drop structures, slope paving, A-Jax energy dissipaters, and water control systems such as stop logs for transportation and utility projects.

We focus on heavy civil and infrastructure concrete. We do not typically perform vertical commercial building frames, architectural finishes, or high-rise structural work.

Wagner self-performs structural concrete with dedicated crews, maintaining control over forming, reinforcement, placement, and schedule.

Wagner has decades of experience building water-related concrete structures including energy dissipaters, drop structures, and storm water control systems.

Wagner maintains multiple full-time structural concrete crews throughout the Midwest and surrounding parts of the country, allowing us to support concurrent and phased projects as needed.
