Summary

This project involved construction of a 160-foot-long reinforced concrete control structure with wingwalls and sheet piling on both sides to regulate water flow out of Devils Lake. The scope included site restoration with landscaping and erosion control measures. The project presented significant challenges, including harsh winter conditions, development of a continuous dewatering system for cold-weather operation, and the use of wood matting to stabilize soft soil conditions during excavation.
