The scope of the project consisted of 42,615 CY unclassified excavation, 24,004 SY soil stabilization material, 10,561 CY crushed aggregate base course, 14,655 plant mix bituminous pavement, 953 Ton asphalt cement, 3,768 Gal bituminous tack coat, 25,386 SF runway and taxiway painting, 4,001 LF reinforced concrete pipe, 18 manholes, 26 Acres seeding, 15,053 CY top soiling, 122,755 SY mulching, 98 CY riprap, airside traffic control and electrical. Challenges consisted of the need for the project to be completed in 5 phases while keeping the commercial airport operational at all times.
